Advisement Schedule

How to Connect with a CS Advisor:

CS Advisors will be hosting virtual Office Hours via Live Chat during Week 1 to answer general questions, including but not limited to:

• Enrollment concerns
• D-Clearance
• Prerequisites
• Major/Minor requirements

Office Hours:

Monday-Friday: 10am-11:30am

Monday-Thursday: 2pm-3:30pm

Any questions submitted through Live Chat outside of Office Hours will not be answered, so it is strongly encouraged to log in to Live Chat during Office Hours to ask your questions to a CS advisor.

Students will be able to schedule appointments with their assigned advisor via Advise USC. We kindly ask that students with general questions utilize our Office Hours to allow advisors to schedule appointments with students with urgent issues that require individual attention.

*CS Advising will be moving to Ginsburg Hall at the beginning of Fall semester, so during this transition, advising appointments will be held via Zoom. Please contact your advisor on Advise USC if you wish to meet in person, as advisors schedules on campus may be limited.

CS Advisors:

Location: All undergraduate CS Advisors are located in the SAL-104 CS Department Main Office. Advisors have a hybrid work schedule. Please contact your assigned advisor directly regarding in-person appointment requests.

Pre-Computer Science Pathway:

Prospective non-Viterbi students interested in a CS major should contact Viterbi Student Services: Pre-Engineering Advisor.

Advising Appointments:

Undergraduate students may schedule an advisement appointment via Advise USC. If there are no time slots that fit your schedule then please contact your assigned advisor.  Advisement sessions are held via Zoom or in the Computer Science Department - SAL 104.
