Biography
Robin Jia is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at USC. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he was advised by Percy Liang. He has also spent time as a postdoctoral researcher at Facebook AI Research, working with Luke Zettlemoyer and Douwe Kiela. Robin is interested broadly in natural language processing and machine learning, with a particular focus on robustness and question answering. Robin’s work has received an Outstanding Paper Award at EMNLP 2017 and a Best Short Paper Award at ACL 2018.
