Join the USC Center for Advanced Manufacturing and help shape the future of robotics by programming state-of-the-art industrial robots for projects with leading companies in the field. As a highly motivated student with a passion for developing software packages for a variety of robots, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced problems in Motion Planning, Robot Learning, and Computer Vision.
This is a paid, in-person position requiring a commitment of 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. We are looking for candidates who can start in mid-May and are available for Summer and Fall 2024, and live near the USC campus.
To be considered for this position, you must have
- Proficiency in C++ and Python
- Proficiency in Ubuntu
- Proficiency with Git
- Experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS)/ROS2
Additional preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working in software development teams
- Experience working on large-scale robotics projects
- Knowledge of RVIZ, MuJoCo, Issac Sim, OpenCV, Open3D, and PyTorch
- Relevant coursework in Robotics, AI, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
